Data Center

With multiple operation centers in Cincinnati, our facilities feature temperature and humidity controlled environments with HVAC temperature control systems, separate cooling zones and seismically braced racks. They offer a wide range of physical security features, including state-of-the-art smoke detection, fire suppression systems, and motion sensors. Within these facilities, Zimcom delivers high levels of reliability through a number of redundant subsystems, such as multiple links from multiple sources, and fully redundant power on the premises.

Zimcom Data Centers feature:

- 24x7x365 system and network monitoring

- Temperature and humidity controlled environments

- Controlled physical access

- Performance, utilization, and availability reporting

- Strictly enforced security policies

- Redundant UPS power for hosted systems and network equipment

Network Design

In addition to maintaining diverse upstream bandwidth links, Zimcom uses intelligent routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP to ensure that Internet traffic runs at peak efficiency. The OSPF (Open shortest path first) protocol is an interior routing protocol designed to route traffic out of our network the quickest way possible. BGP (Border gateway protocol) on the other hand is an external routing protocol that transmits routing updates allowing incoming traffic to get to our network with the least amount of hops. By utilizing these protocols we ensure maximum connection speed to our customers while virtually eliminating down time.
